although this is kind of late, i would still like to talk about the sec 4 farewell. for us. it was great, though there were some glitches in the music for the performances and the weather.nevertheless, i really enjoyed myself thoroughly.



we, the 3 loudhailers of kingfisher patrol [me, emmeline and zihui] made something really nice for our kingfisher-ians. and i mean, totally cool. emmeline, tze yin and i stayed after the mad guides session on friday [it ended at 6pm], after loads of things here and there, after our item planning [7.10pm] and headed off to toa payoh to collect the photos and develop yunqian's photos. then hy, wr and yq went to buy their stuff in tp while me and emmeline went to j8 to meet ty and jer. okay. we went to macs [8.15pm] and emmeline went off to buy stuff while i ate my twister fries and do the patrol gift. then yq came and ate with me. we talked. and talked. and talked. she looked silly carrying 10 pairs of slippers [which meant to be the gift for her patrol]. then finally emmeline and ty came back while jer left. yq also left to collect her photos. so emmeline, ty and i continued doing our patrol stuff. i could only stay till 11pm, and my mom was calling already. so i had no choice but to leave.
i reached home at a freaking time. 11.30pm. i haven't been home so late since victoria campfire. anyway, emmeline and ty left at 11.45pm. luckily ty's dad sent emmeline home. i spent the freaking night and morning doing so many things. cutting and editing our farewell item song [not as easy as it seems...], completing part of the patrol gift, typing letters to my angel verene and mortal aiswarya [i spent 2 hours just typing], and finally, bingo! it was 4.15am. i slept for 2 hours before my mom woke me to take my dad's car to school. my mom seriously did not know that i slept at 4.15am or she would have screamed at me. yeah reached school at 7am. my eyes couldn't open up. changed into guides uniform then was rushing some more patrol gifts.



finally it was 8am. horseshoe formation. zihui wasn't feeling well, joy was sick and hanwei hasn't arrived. so i took over as patrol leader for the day. for the first and last time though. the morning was really hot so everyone was perspiring like mad. it was sec 3 promotion cum sec 1 enrollment cum sec 4 stepping down. so every time they called upon a patrol, nearly everyone would be marching out to get their badges/trefoils.



after that was concert. the sec 1s and 2s had a photo-taking session. hmm... only the sec 4s would know what it was for. you all will know when you get to sec 4! haha.
only 18 sec 4s attended the farewell. very very pathetic. but those who were around had fun. first up before the concert was for the CLs valerie and weiyi to hand over to sining and pearlyn. some pictures below. the pictures suck though, cuz i forgot to switch on the flash. sorry!

then, the sec 3s came out and sang some songs to us. the lyrics were really meaningful and i couldn't stop crying.
they made us close our eyes... and presented us with white roses! that was our breaking point. we cried like mad and the sec 3s were crying too.
there was a slideshow thereafter showing us over the years. we were crying and laughing at the same time!
anyway, mdm faridah contributed our sec 1 picture [eww!] and we were all laughing at each other.
i love our sec 2 dance pic. our batch never had a proper photo taken. there's always someone absent here and there.



the sec 2s sang a few songs to us too.
though i hear music most of the time and that sec 2s never performed, i was still pretty touched though i wasn't really close to them.

then, it was much happier with the sec 1s dance. coy 2 came out first, if i didn't remember wrongly.
they danced to 'this love' and 1st coy danced to some blue song [i really dunno the title!].
it was pretty good for sec 1s! it made me think of the time when we were still doing our very own sec 1 dance for our then sec 4s.

the final item was by the sec 3s. they did a cheerleading thing and it was totally undescribable. way beyond cool!
they used red and silver pom-poms [which made me think that they were still in national day mood] and our ndp 2003 fans!
i really loved it, especially when they put in an exact extract of our ndp 2003 dance!

lastly, it was our item. there was the cadbury song! haha. really brought up the mood of everyone.
we sang 'breakaway' by kelly clarkson to the sec 1s.
just to say something to sec 1s, if any of you reads this, wishing you all all the best in everything and make the best out of your future guiding years!
being sec 4 was great when people look up to us and respect us.
you all have a lot more to go in your next 3 years of guiding, which will be far more enriching than in sec 1.
do well in campfire dance and farewell next year, campfire in the next next year, and good leaders in your last year!



next up was 'i promise' by stacie orrico for the sec 2s.
although i wasn't very close to any of you all, i still hope that you all will enjoy guiding as much as i did.
it's gonna be a really stressful year next year for you all because of campfire.
but it'll all be really worthwhile when you see the success from it.
work hard for ndp contingent too and must not throw guides' face!
you all will take charge of sec 1s soon during singing sessions, just like we took charge of you all last year.
must teach the songs properly! haha.
most of you won't be able to enjoy the campfire while its on cuz you would be running around but nevertheless, do it well.
when people praise you all for the brilliant campfire, it will all be worthwhile! good luck!



last message was to sec 3s. we sang 'shape of my heart' by bsb.
most of us sec 4s are really close to you all, so leaving is really sad for most of us.
we know you all feel sad too, but you all have to move on!
now that we have left, you all are the eldest and nobody will be around to guide you all.
it is now your turn to guide your juniors and make them better people.
sec 4 year is really important, so besides being very involved in guides, remember to work hard towards your goals for your o'levels.
i know its kinda early to talk about this even though i haven't sat for my exam yet, but still, i wish you all all the best.
i will always remember you guys!

when yq started a new one, we were so excited for her! haha.



last programme of the day was patrol corner. sec 1s gave us gummies in chocolates! really nice =) but sec 2s didn't give us anything!
i was very sad. it isn't the present, but the thought. i didn't mind a letter, as long as there was something appreciative.
sec 3s weren't around so couldn't give them, but we gave them on tuesday and i could see that joy was going to tear.

i had a great time yesterday! though our school's celebration was a little overdue, we still had loads of fun admiring each other's costumes and taking loads of pictures. racial harmony day is cool! but some people sort of take this chance to show of their legs, back, etc. tummy is pretty okay, but to the extent of showing the back, i think it's kinda overdoing. and mind you, we're still in school. the whole school population not only has females, so ladies should be more discreet in school. show as much as you like outside, but school is somewhere you should respect. people who actually think that i'm refering to you, then it's you. ahh whatever.



this is my second time wearing a costume. i borrowed jasimah's baju kurong [i seriously can't spell it] last year. this year borrowed premila's punjabi one [i hope i got the name right]. its maroon with loads of beads and sequins. damned nice. but the sleeves has got so many beads it made me itch like mad. all for the sake of beauty. haha. loads of people wore sari. the whole school does not seem to contain anymore chinese after everyone dressed up in various ethnic costumes. nearly the whole of the sec 4 cohort wore costumes. my whole class did. it was cool. =)

I've been listening to a lot of shinhwa lately. Suddenly, I really love shin hyesung's voice. It's like , whoa. I really can't describe it but it totally rocks. Just listen to him in their song angel from their vol.7 Brand new [you can go download it off solid07 forums or something, listed at my links]. I'm totally in love with that song. The mv is sort of like a story of Eric[mun] of shinhwa who kinda has either split personality or an imaginary friend/enemy played by hyesung. They try to kill each other with guns and fight over a girl. But it seems only like eric's imagination. Quite a cool mv, just that its in black and white. looks so ancient to me =).

i can't wait for boa's 5th korean album! Although its still unnamed, but it'll most probably be out late this month. She didn't have a 4.5 korean album last year so I'm kinda looking forward to this one. i read on some boa site that over 5000 composers sent in their songs to boa's company sm entertainment that's why its taking them a long time choosing the best songs. i want it!! Anyone wants to offer to buy it for me? =P

energy. Made me kinda disappointed. i know its not really their fault but they keep copying kpop songs. And one of the songs everything in my heart is by project group s, made up of kang ta, hye sung and lee jihoon. I'm really sad cuz i love the original s version i swear. They also copied h.o.t's outside castle, and 3 other kpop songs. Why does universal music have such a lack of composers? Or do they want to save money on buying songs? They are the ones who pick the song for energy to sing so they should be blamed. Now everyone in the kpop forums are thinking that energy are just plain copycats. They even have an anti-energy clan! I'm really sad. You can listen to the comparisons of their songs here. I'm now pondering if i should actually save up to buy their new album...

ahdi is leaving energy! What can i say? Their group is getting smaller and smaller. First toro, then now ahdi. Not that i hate them or something but i think its sooner or later before they split...

today will be going to some korean restaurant for my bday dinner. parents' treat! haha. okays just a short note so tata!

its been a long long time since i got to actually go online. actually while i'm typing this i'm not online since i don't have broadband anymore. but i don't actually feel the craving of going online. i'm currently working hard on achieving my goals. so studying is rather high on my priority list. nothing else should be more important. i sound like a geek i know. lol. but i need to catch up and make up for lost time. i wasted too much time last year. i can't believe that i would be affected by so many things. but after all, i'm human. anyone who ever have all these problems would feel the same. but whatever. its all over now. i'm getting back some friends, but have also lost some. i'm not really referring to anyone in particular. but i'm glad this is a turning point to my life. many people actually mature after all these ordeals. i think i did grow up quite a bit. some people now treasure the people around them more, but some are still taking them for granted. when is everyone actually going to wake up and realised the whole story? what is the whole story? no one can give a real account on what is actually happening now. i changed my opinion on so many things. i made someone my friend again. after four years, i can see the true colours of so many people, be it good or bad. everyone seems so close on the surface, but everything seems so different underneath. many became real, many became fake. who's true and who's not isn't so obvious anymore. people can treat you nicely, but speak behind your back. real hypocrites. what am i thinking now? i'm not sure about my thoughts at all. i'm unsure about myself too.



the above isn't referring to anyone in particular but i need to speak it out. you may know, you may not. you can choose to think about who i'm talking about, you can choose to keep quiet. but why should anyone care what am i saying? i learnt this line from a song, "whatever they say, i don't care." it actually makes me happier not thinking about unhappy things. let people say whatever they want. no one can please everyone. same for me. if you hate me, you can continue to do so because i don't care. you can backstab me, i don't care either. its really in the person who is speaking, what you choose to say, you should be responsible for it. words are big time offenders. they often offend people and not knowing how. i was once in dilemia and cannot think about what's right and wrong. but now everything seems clearer. i used to harp over my problems but i've learnt how not to. i've become a happier person who now have great friends. if you think you belong to this group, you do.



okay! enough of the kinda sad stuff. i'm now happy! yippee! its a week's time to our south division campfire. many brownies will be attending. it really made me think of the time when i was in primary five and i went to our school's campfire. till now i can still remember that day. the theme was cooee but i can't exactly remember the meaning of that word. we practiced the gateway a couple of times and it was totally great. its so cool! scouts and guides remember to come to our actual one to see it for yourselves. plus the sec 4 dance, which is our dance. totally cool. hahaha i'm like praising ourselves but its really a fact. lol. haven't gone to a campfire for ages! the last one was probably in august, i think acsb. quite an impression still since i performed with five other current sec 4s and had such a great experience. unfortunately, this year can't go as much anymore. my mom has banned me from going. the reason: bad results. but actually i don't really bother anymore. i wanna do well for o'levels. i think its pretty impossible for me to do well in school exams since they're always killers. what's the point of setting the paper so hard? when everyone does badly it really kills our morale. but i'm not going to care. i'm just gonna practice the ten-year-series since they are all o'level questions and should be rather similar to the actual o'level.

really, now i'm keeping my blog just to put my layouts. i know i don't do them often but i try to change maybe within a month or two. but during the o'level period i'm probably abandoning this blog for a while. like 3 to 4 months? that's really madness. but whatever la. its been great typing a new entry cuz i haven't done it for a long time! feast your eyes with boa and your ears with over~across the time~!
