What? It's been a month since I last blogged and blogger still looks like crap? zzzzzzzz.
October 22nd used to be so far-fetched. Now it seems ever so near. OMFG. I feel that Baby and I haven't done enough things together before he enlists. Haven't had enough good food, haven't went to play like siao, haven't slacked together enough, haven't watched enough movies. ARGH. Some more he's going in for 2 years.
WTF? 2 YEARS LEH. So bloody long please! What the hell am I supposed to do? I'm having Exams during Baby's 2 weeks confinement and then later it's the holidays so what am I supposed to do during holidays when my boyfriend has to be in camp for another 4-5weeks and only booking out on the weekends?? Nooooooooooooooooooo............... I just hope he gets posted near his place and 8-5. Then I will finally be truly happy. ):
The WORST part is that our 1st year anniversary falls during his confinement. How can anything be worse than that? The 1st anniversary is so important. But then again, we will be having many more anniversaries. That's still different though, cos 1st one cannot be compared to like 2nd one, or 3rd one right, besides our relationship growing stronger. ): I asked Baby why didn't he ask me to be his girlfriend like 1 week earlier, then he said if 1 week earlier I might not say yes also. LOL

On a lighter note, Japan in 18 days. Okay I only realized how soon it is when I typed out the number of days. OMG crazy shit so fast????? Can't wait lah. I'm so excited. If only Baby could come along then it'll be our first holiday. But it's okay, cos I'm bringing a netbook over so I can Skype with Baby everyday. Shall go sightseeing or shopping alone too when the girls go for open classes. Should be quite an interesting experience. <3 Japan sooooooo much! I really wanna get my ass back to Shinjuku but it's wayyy too far from Osaka. ):
Baby says there's an awesome Ramen restaurant in Shinjuku that is better than ANY Ramen locally. We went to Ion's Aoba Ramen or something at B3 where there were snaking queues but the Ramen is NOT NICE!!! What a disappointment. ): We also tried the Ramen from B4 and it's better than the snaking queues one but still not as good as what Japanese Ramen should be! So sad. Must I really be in Japan to eat the best Ramen??? ):
There's a new Canon Ixus 120IS leh!! OMFG. Wide angle lens + HD movie recording. It's better than the Ixus 100IS but then no red. ): I should just endure until my T10 spoils completely before I get a new one. By the way, the row of dead pixels are actually reducing. WTH! I don't understand why is it so weird. LOL.
Meeting Cheryl to do the stupid OB assignment later. Bloody hate OB. ):

Kns lah... I just mentioned in my previous post that my blogger looks normal and now it's not normal again!! ): sobs.
Hoping to have an increase in assets so that I can get a new digicam soon. I think my Sony T10 is dying on me. There's a huge load of dead pixels on my screen! Luckily the pictures still look fine, yea obviously cos only the screen got problem ma. But I see already I damn heart pain cos T10 is bought using my own money! 500 over bucks leh! Then going 3 years starting to spoil. Actually just the screen but I'm just whining and I'm soooooo in love with the Canon Ixus 100! Might get it if the price falls to 300+ hehe. The red is damn nice! The gold also not bad! But aiya, should buy new or not? Or wait till my T10 completely cui then I get a new one? Hoping to get a zoom lens and flash too.. But no money lah alamak. Maybe can coax my mum to get for me lens or flash for my 21st birthday (ok I know that's wayyyyy too early). LOL.
I need to study for accounting test. But my eyes are damn super droopy. I want to sleep despite already sleeping for eight hours. I got no term break but I will have something like a term break in September (cos I got no classes for one whole week).
Maybe should go sleep some more. Can't wait to be free and go to Jabez's place to play Munchkin! We're all so hooked. It's the most awesome game ever! Best thing is we all chipped in to get the expansion packs! Now the cards stack is like what, 35cm high?? At least 500 cards lah! OMG. Just by thinking about it gets me so excited. Hahahaha.
Been looking at old photos and videos, missing poly life alot. Missing all my friends. Where have they all gone to? ): Missing the study sessions, the big group of cars outing session, talk cock sessions, lunch during project days sessions, missing school trips. Argh. Missing sec school life too, where I used to be so carefree (like totally and not studying hard enough). Many regrets in life, but I've definitely gained something while losing another. It's about gaining through losing. Only when you've lost, you will find that in return you still gained something in the end. I lost some friends, and gained many more. They're awesome and I never wanna exchange them with anything else.
Sometimes I find that, around 75% of the people on my facebook (300 people) are just passers-by in my life. I could do without this people. Honestly who do you think you are if you have 900 friends? Aren't they still passers-by? You can have thousands of friends on facebook, but at the end of the day, is there anyone you can call your true best friend? Not so likely if you have to entertain so many people in your life. I meet up with the Guides occasionally, for dinners, talks, birthday celebrations and stayovers. I meet up with poly friends occasionally for suppers, drive-outs, crazy chats and other random stuff. I meet up with PPPPP occasionally for birthday celebrations, movies, to support them in competitions and just to hang out. And of course I meet up with dear besties for KTV, tea, shopping, Munchkin and food. Awesome bunch of friends I have, hoping never to lose them but as I grow older, it is starting to be more difficult to keep up with friends. Hoping to strike a good balance in order to keep these friends for as long as I can, hoping to attend their weddings and see their kids grow. It's increasingly difficult to make friends when you grow older, cos everyone has grown and are not as naive and innocent as in the past. Isn't it the easiest to make friends when everyone does not guard against one another?
I have been quite suay in this friendship thing. Till date I still remember that almost every two years since Primary school I will get some sort of problems with friends. I think that kind of moulded me into someone who treasures my friends alot. Sadly this trend is still happening up till today. I wonder why. I think I put alot of effort in friendships that I think are worth it. I choose friends, but honestly who doesn't? You don't want any Tom, Dick or Harry on the street making friends with you, do you? By 'choosing' friends, I don't mean by their looks. Most of the time I'm okay with making friends and I do that in person. I hate it when stupid random ugly old people try to add me on facebook or something. 'Hi I wanna make friends with you.', they'd say. 'I don't make friends over facebook' is what I'd reply. Can't be they know what kind of person I am then they wanna make friends with me right? The only thing they know is how I look like, and what friends I have. I'm not saying I'm gsl chio lah, I'm saying that since they can make friends based on looks, I also can don't make friends based on looks right. They probably have a really sad life because they have no confidence in making friends outside, hence resorting to facebook. That's so sad! I can proudly say that I have met 95% of everyone in my facebook. Bet those people haven't even met half of their so-called friends.

I think Jassshole's right. Singnet connection really has a huge problem! I can see my proper blogger preview! YAY! I'm now at NLB using wireless@SG (but then I signed in with my Singnet account and weirdly blogger works properly despite me using the Singnet account). Tried Jassshole's method of setting the proxy but IT DOESN'T WORK FOR ME! ): I wonder if it's because I'm using a Macbook instead of PC. =\
OB IS REALLY DRIVING ME NUTS. I slept only almost 3 hours before I got my ass down to NLB to change some of my references. ARGH. I NEED TO SLEEP!!!! My shoulder aches so badly. Mum and sis both helped me massage my back and shoulders because it became too painful to sleep. My shoulders are damn stiff and carrying my bag on my right shoulder HURTS. ):
I'm hungry. I'm alone, which means I can't leave my things behind to go for a break. But then again if I took all my things with me, by the time I'm back there would be no powerpoints available for me to use. ): How sad. CAN'T WAIT FOR TOMORROW! Handing in the bloody assignment and then I can do my accounting homework and then I can have my lecture and then I can meet up with Baby!!!! YAY PLS. We haven't gone out for two weeks! We didn't meet for 4 days last week cos he was sick, then met up for 2 days but at his place only, and 3 days never meet again cos I'm busy with my stupid assignment!! But my awesome Baby wanted to come over to my place yesterday despite me needing to do my work cos we haven't met for so long. :D
Can't wait to spend full days with him! But then again, having tests next two weeks. Shouldn't be too hard, I think I have been a pretty good girl so far (but I'm skipping lecture today! HAHA!).

I totally don't feel like doing homework. So. I'M GOING TO BLOG!
My week's damn awesome. Okay maybe for just four days.
On Monday, I found out I'm in Group 3 for Business Computing. I was very sad because I thought I was in the Wednesday afternoon group (the other three groups are Tuesday morning, Wednesday morning and Friday morning). I thinking why I so suay to get the afternoon class (actually I assumed without looking at the timetable cos if got 4 groups, group 3 would most likely be for the Wednesday afternoon group). But actually I'm in Friday morning group! Cos the three morning sessions are the original ones. Okay I don't really know how to explain it but take it as I'm happy with what I wanted!!
Then on Tuesday night, Ruina pm-ed me saying that I'm exempted from Business Computing! I couldn't believe my eyes and went to check my student portal and OMG!!!!!
Awesome man.
Wednesday on my way to Baby's place (I no longer have school on Wednesdays!), I received this text.
I WAS DAMN ULTIMATELY SHOCKED!!!!! Baby won a pair of tickets too! So we had like four tickets! Unfortunately my sister and dad who both participated didn't win. ): I took my sister along for the show and Baby asked Marcus along.
I saw the SMS to win the movie tickets thingy on 8days and I texted at the moment the contest opened! I'm so kiasu please. But it paid off! HAHAH. At first I thought didn't win cos the contest closed on Sunday and there was no news of us winning the tickets on Monday and Tuesday. I was quite sad actually and started checking all the slots for Cathay and I'm damn depressed cos almost all the good seats from every show were taken!! At that moment I thought I can only watch it next week. HOW CAN???? I'm an ultimate fan leh!
Look at my happy face. I LOVE HARRY POTTER!
FIFTEENTH JULY TWO OH OH NINE!
I'm one of the first few (hundred) people in Singapore (or in the world) to watch it leh!!!!! HAPPY! But I'm damn depressed that there isn't like a Harry Potter goodie bag (I'm super Singaporean hahaha!) or free popcorn and drinks! ): The bloody queue at the snackbar was so long we decided not to buy anything. They wanted us to surrender our phones and cameras too. I think they're afraid we might film it down and sell or something. But we didn't surrender although we said we did. LOL. AND BOY WAS IT A SMART DECISION! Cos after the movie there was an ENDLESS QUEUE of people queuing to get back their gadgets! HA!
Then on Thursday after coming home from supper at Chompz (and we met Jasper with 3 girls!), checked my email and saw this AWESOME mail!
WAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH! TOP SALESPERSON!!!!! FREE HDD + EXTRA MONEY!!!!! HAAHAHAHAHA AM I AWESOME OR WHAT????? HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

I WAS DAMN ULTIMATELY SHOCKED!!!!! Baby won a pair of tickets too! So we had like four tickets! Unfortunately my sister and dad who both participated didn't win. ): I took my sister along for the show and Baby asked Marcus along.
I saw the SMS to win the movie tickets thingy on 8days and I texted at the moment the contest opened! I'm so kiasu please. But it paid off! HAHAH. At first I thought didn't win cos the contest closed on Sunday and there was no news of us winning the tickets on Monday and Tuesday. I was quite sad actually and started checking all the slots for Cathay and I'm damn depressed cos almost all the good seats from every show were taken!! At that moment I thought I can only watch it next week. HOW CAN???? I'm an ultimate fan leh!

FIFTEENTH JULY TWO OH OH NINE!
I'm one of the first few (hundred) people in Singapore (or in the world) to watch it leh!!!!! HAPPY! But I'm damn depressed that there isn't like a Harry Potter goodie bag (I'm super Singaporean hahaha!) or free popcorn and drinks! ): The bloody queue at the snackbar was so long we decided not to buy anything. They wanted us to surrender our phones and cameras too. I think they're afraid we might film it down and sell or something. But we didn't surrender although we said we did. LOL. AND BOY WAS IT A SMART DECISION! Cos after the movie there was an ENDLESS QUEUE of people queuing to get back their gadgets! HA!
Then on Thursday after coming home from supper at Chompz (and we met Jasper with 3 girls!), checked my email and saw this AWESOME mail!
WAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH! TOP SALESPERSON!!!!! FREE HDD + EXTRA MONEY!!!!! HAAHAHAHAHA AM I AWESOME OR WHAT????? HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Baby is damnnnnnnnnnnnnn funny today! No idea why. He's like a bit retarded today but so cute and funny can. HAHAHA.
While he was parking the car....

LOL!!!! WTH! I find it damn funny lah! LOL.
Then while at his place we started playing poker cards. He watched too much of the 'God of Gamblers' in The Ultimatum and he kept trying to act like he damn pro! HAHAH! The cards were EVERYWHERE in his room. He only stopped when I didn't want to help him to pick up the cards. HAHA. SO BODOH.
Baby's damn awesome cos I went for Teng Yeow's photomarathon event thing on Sunday, and Baby supposed to only find me after the event ends. But he surprised me when I was shooting at Botanics cos I casually told him over sms that I was there! Or rather he kept asking 'so where you shooting later?' HAHA.
We witnessed something really scary too. We were facing in the direction of this big tree (okay okay I know big trees are all over Botanics...) and suddenly there was this MEGA loud cracking sound. I thought it was thunder at first but actually it was this HUGE branch cracking!! AND THE WHOLE THING CAME TUMBLING DOWN. We were so shocked that we hurry ran to check out if anyone was injured. We saw this mum protecting her little daughter and her daughter was hysterical. The mum was kinda semi-consious and weak. Luckily it was the twigs and leaves part of the huge branch that hit her, if not I really cannot imagine what will happen to her. A kind Bangla carried the mum out while the little girl's dad carried and pacified her. I really would want to stay behind to see how the mum was but had to leave to submit my photos. ):

And Singapore really alot kaypoh people cos once they heard that something dropped, they all ran over at top speed to try and peek at what happened and not send for the park ranger or something! I was quite annoyed. LOL.

This is Baby who's carrying my bag for me cos my shoulder was swollen. He looks very weird carrying such a small little backpack! HAHAHA. And check out the piggie in his hands. He caught it for ONE BUCK. We were both so shocked! That machine was easy cos many people before us caught it but none caught it at ONE BUCK like he did! So clever hehehe :D
We had a nice dinner at this awesome ramen place at Central for our 8th month. :D
The ramen comes with pork cheeks which were so awesome to eat! They're so tender and definitely the best part of a pig I've ever eaten! HAHA.

We also had our favourite Azabu Sabo gelato cos there was a banana flavour! Awesome.

But the fun I had last night with the crazyass people which had Wk, Hijack, Yi-ahwang-Jie, Chee Tiong, Chin Tiong, Shao Qun, Dewei, Jasper and Bird and 5 cars was damn awesome. These guys are so goddamn funny!
Gotta go work now. ZOMGZ. Kill me cos my body aches.

Wearing branded goods is like being a walking advertisement
LVs, Guccis, Burberrys, Chanels, Coachs, Ralph Laurens..... What else? My brandictionary is very limited, please pardon me. Took me 2 minutes to come up with that and got stuck by the time my brain reached RL.
The title of my entry is being said by an image consultant, as what my mum told me. Everyone gets excited about their branded wallets, branded bags, branded phone straps, but do you actually need these branded stuff? Each item can easily set you back by the hundreds. If you're rich cos you're born with a silver spoon (HAHAHA awk remember v&s?), or if you earn truckloads every month, then okay sure do continue to splurge. What I don't get is, people who do vacation jobs, modelling assignments, or save up their very terribly little allowance just to buy branded goods. So many people are in pursuit of their so-called desired branded bag which everyone else down the street also has. So you like spending so much and yet having the same thing like everyone else?
Maybe you can try out an experiment. Get out of the house, go to town, and get back home. While on the way there and back, try counting how many LVs you do see on the MRT or buses. You will be surprised by the numbers, really. The truly rich people would not be seen carrying their branded bags on trains and buses cos obviously they'll be in their posh Audi R8, or in a Maserati. Then again the rich don't even have to drive cos they have chauffers!
The thing about people wanting to get branded stuff, is to want to look 'expensive'. Don't tell me you love LV just cos you think it's pretty. Deep down in your heart you know you wanna look more expensive. But if your idea of expensive is to blow all your hard-earned-yet-little pay that you earned from 5 months of work on a 1k wallet, then that's really quite lame. Some people that I observed on the streets, as well as while working at RLC, is that they can be carrying a freaking Chanel 2.55, but they're fat, and they look so unkempt. So tell me, do they still look rich? Their authentic bags instantly looks like a fake or an inspired one.
Actually I don't wanna look rich also cos my family ain't rich later if I carry too much branded then I get kidnapped how??
I might once have said I like the LV denim wallet (which I blogged about sometime last year), but I also said I'll only get it if I earn 10k per month! But I guess by the time comes, I will think I'm better off without one cos really, I prefer my Baby Phat wallet over an LV one anytime. *winks*
Please don't think I'm saying this cos I cannot afford buying branded stuff. Fyi, I can well afford a few LVs or a Chanel 2.55 if I want to (cos I save, big time), but that's not how I'm gonna spend my money. I rather save up my money and buy my cheap $15 bags from Taiwan sprees cos you spend 1.5k on 1 bag, and I can buy another 100 Taiwan spree bags with the same amount. I have maybe, 25 bags which total up to less than 1k. :D I don't wanna be carrying 1 LV bag in exchange with my 25 bags!
This post is not to pin-point anyone in particular cos I do know friends who love branded stuffs. It's just my take on whether is really worth it for not so rich people to be splurging like crazy. A $100 discount off a $1000 bag seems alot, but it's only 10% off. They still earn about 60% from you! And they don't even have to spend money on advertising cos all you silly people do free advertising for them. They save and earn so much, but the holes in your pockets grow bigger and bigger cos you don't have money to get needle and thread to sew it back.
It seems like the economic crisis has not dampen the spirits of these pursuitors for brands. The branded goods I see on the streets seem to be increasing, in fact. You'll rather be buying branded goods than to be saving up the money for a rainy day, lest you lose your job. Clever people!!
I'm gonna end this post abruptly cos it's really late and I'm working again tomorrow, after 2 days of break which was ultra to-die-for. Goodnight! Remember to ponder over my thoughts! :P
